Georg Fritzsch

Georg Fritzsch is the General Music Director of the Badische Staatskapelle and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe. Before dedicating himself to conducting, Georg Fritzsch studied cello at the „Carl Maria von Weber“ Academy of Music in Dresden. After finishing his studies, he was engaged as solo cellist with the Gera Philharmonic Orchestra. At the same time Georg Fritzsch began his conducting studies in Dresden and Leipzig, which he completed in 1993.
